How to Handle Duplicate Inspections and Clean Up Project Data

When managing project data, you may need to remove duplicate inspections or clean up outdated records. This guide outlines how to archive inspections and maintain a clean workspace.


Archiving Duplicate Inspections

To archive duplicate or unwanted inspections:

  1. Navigate to the Inspections page

  2. Select the inspection(s) you want to archive

  3. Click the three-dot menu (next to the Export button)

  4. Select “Archive”

Project Cleanup Tips

  • Archived inspections are hidden from view but can be restored if needed

  • Bulk actions are supported — select multiple inspections to archive at once

  • If you have a large number of duplicates, contact Support for bulk cleanup assistance

  • Projects containing only archived inspections may no longer appear in your active view


Common Cleanup Scenarios

You may need to archive inspections in the following situations:

  • Re-uploading data due to database or processing issues

  • Duplicate uploads of the same inspection

  • Removing old test or training data

  • Consolidating inspections across multiple projects


Permanent Deletion

  • Only SewerAI staff can permanently delete projects

  • To request full project deletion, contact Support
