How to Trim Videos in PIONEER

PIONEER allows videos to be trimmed to focus on specific inspection segments. This helps remove unnecessary footage and create more streamlined inspection records.

Limitations

Please note the following:

  • Support-Only Feature
    Video trimming can only be performed by PIONEER Support. This functionality is not currently available directly in the platform.

  • Re-Rendering Required
    After trimming, the video must be reprocessed. Changes will not appear until rendering is complete.

  • Pre- and Post-Cleaning Footage
    Videos that include both pre- and post-cleaning footage should be split into separate files before uploading. Combined footage may cause issues with AutoCode processing.

Requesting a Video Trim

To request a video trim:

  1. Contact PIONEER Support

  2. Provide a link to the video

  3. Specify the exact timestamp range to keep

    • Example: 0:00–1:50

    • Example: 1:52.215–3:06.231

Once submitted, Support will trim the video and initiate re-rendering. You’ll be notified when the updated video is ready.

Splitting Videos (Pre/Post Cleaning)

If you need to separate pre- and post-cleaning footage from a single video:

  • Download the original video

  • Use external video editing software to split the file

  • Re-upload the separate clips to PIONEER

Note: Video splitting is not currently supported within the platform.
