Understanding AutoCode and Inspection Asset Statuses
Last updated: July 14, 2026
AutoCode is SewerAI's AI-powered inspection coding service. Once videos are submitted, each inspection moves through a series of asset statuses in Pioneer. This article explains what each status means and what to do.
Asset Statuses
Upload Pending
An inspection record exists in Pioneer, but no video has been attached yet. The video may still be uploading, or it may not have been submitted. Check your upload progress or re-upload if needed.
Autocode Running
AutoCode is actively running on this inspection. No action needed. Processing time varies based on video length and queue volume.
Complete
AutoCode has finished coding the inspection. You can review the results in the inspection detail view.
Rejected
AutoCode was unable to code the inspection. Common reasons include:
Duplicate video already in the system
Poor video quality
Missing distance or footage counter data
The camera did not move, or was not inside a pipe
To find out why: Open the rejected inspection and check the Tasks panel -- the rejection reason will be listed there as a review task.
What to do: Once you have reviewed the reason, contact SewerAI support. Our team will review the inspection and re-submit it if appropriate. Customers cannot re-submit rejections directly.
Review Tasks That Can Affect AutoCode
Inspections also have review tasks that are separate from the asset status but can affect whether AutoCode completes successfully.
If a review task shows "Needs Correction," something in the inspection needs to be resolved before AutoCode can proceed. Check the Tasks panel for specifics -- common issues include an incorrect project spec or a missing header field.
If all review tasks show as passed but the inspection still appears stuck, contact support. This may indicate a backend configuration issue (such as a mismatched project spec) that our team needs to resolve.
How Long Does AutoCode Take?
SLA timing varies by contract -- consult your agreement for your specific turnaround commitment. To see the estimated completion date for any submitted inspection:
Go to your project in Pioneer and open the Inspections view
Click the gear icon on the right side of the page
Check the box for "AutoCode Due Date" to add that column to your view
The column will show the estimated completion date for each inspection currently in AutoCode.
Can I Request Priority Processing?
You can contact SewerAI support to request that a project be prioritized. Priority requests cannot be guaranteed -- turnaround depends on overall queue volume at the time of your request.
