Troubleshooting Slow Site Performance

Last updated: March 3, 2026

Known Issues

Field Inspection Page Loading Delays

The field inspection page may experience slow loading times due to:

  1. Large number of active inspections in the system

  2. Accumulated inspection data

Troubleshooting

Download Speed Limitations

When downloading large files:

For best reliability with large files, use the ZIP download option rather than the cloud option.

  1. Large downloads (50GB+) with annotations may take several hours

  2. Running multiple downloads concurrently can impact system performance

  1. Download large packages to a local drive first, then move to network storage

    • Downloading directly to network drives significantly delays downloads and reduces stability

    • Always download to your local machine first, then transfer files to network storage after completion

  2. Exporting large batches of inspections (e.g., 900+ videos) may cause the export to fail completely

  3. NASSCO issues in inspections can prevent exports from starting

  4. Download packages are stored for 30 days - downloads older than this will need to be re‑run

Solutions and Workarounds

When using PIONEER Desktop from a CCTV truck:

  1. Archive or sync lingering inspections to improve loading times

    1. Archiving is done by checking the box next to the inspection on the "Not Synced" tab and then clicking the "Archive" button located in they upper right of the screen.

For Downloads:

Before Starting Downloads:

  1. Check for NASSCO issues that may block exports:

    • Go to your filters and apply "with issues" to identify problematic inspections

    • Resolve any NASSCO issues before attempting to export

  2. Break large exports into smaller batches to prevent failures:

    • For 900+ inspections, split into chunks (e.g., first two weeks, last two weeks of a month)

    • This prevents the system from failing to export correctly

To download projects to USB:

  1. Navigate to your project using the filter bar at the top of Pioneer

  2. Use the export function to package the data

  3. Go to your downloads page and wait for the zip file option to appear (more stable than other download formats)

  4. Download the zip file to a local drive first, then transfer to your USB drive after completion

During Downloads:

  1. If a download stalls or fails, try switching to the ZIP download method instead of the cloud option

  2. Run large downloads sequentially rather than concurrently

  3. Plan for longer download times with large files (50GB+)

  4. For large packages, use the zip file download option after accepting the submittal within Pioneer rather than the cloud download option

Note: The zip file method provides more stable and complete packages for significant download sizes. Cloud download is best suited for quick downloads of one or two inspections or PDF reports.

If Issues Persist:

  1. Contact support if downloads are taking unusually long

When to Contact Support

  1. Field inspection page continues to load slowly after clearing active inspections

  2. You need to optimize download performance for large files

  3. You experience persistent performance issues
