What Do the Risk & Rehab "Recommended Actions Mean?"

Last updated: June 24, 2025

Each asset in PIONEER may receive one or many "Recommended Actions" from our Risk & Rehab decision tree. This suggestion is based on:

  • Attributes of the asset, taken from GIS data, like Material or Age

  • Results of the most recent Inspection

  • Comparison to other assets in our system

  • Information about the cost and complexity of various rehab actions

Below is a list of the possible outputs of this system, and what they mean.

Please treat these recommendations as provisional; they are not a substitute for the professional judgment of a licensed Engineer.

Inside the application, you can click on any Recommendation "pill" to expose the logic behind the recommended actions.
